In this dynamic and creative dance class, students will explore the art of partnering through various styles and forms such as improv, weight shift, lifting, and group work. The class will begin with a thorough warm-up to prepare the body for movement. Students will then engage in research and improv exercises, as well as learn partner phrases to foster collaboration and communication. The class will culminate in a choreographed phrase that combines partnering techniques with contemporary floor work choreography.
